Neurodevelopmental Assessment

Detailed analysis of your child's developmental profile with developmental screening tests, IQ and attention tests, autism assessment scales, and comprehensive neuropsychological testing.

Neurodevelopmental assessment is a comprehensive examination of your child's cognitive, behavioral, social, and emotional development using standardized measurement tools. This assessment provides a systematic approach to identifying your child's strengths and areas requiring support.

Situations where neurodevelopmental assessment may be needed:

• Delayed acquisition of developmental milestones compared to peers
• Speech and language development delays
• Difficulties in social interaction and communication
• Performance below expected levels in academic skills
• Attention, concentration, and learning difficulties
• Behavioral and emotional regulation problems

Assessment tools used at our clinic:

• Developmental Screening Tests: Determining the child's general developmental level with standardized tools such as the Denver Developmental Screening Test and Ankara Development Screening Inventory (AGTE).

• Intelligence Tests: Cognitive profiling with internationally validated intelligence tests such as WISC-IV (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children), Stanford-Binet, and Leiter.

• Attention and Executive Function Tests: Measuring attention, concentration, planning, and problem-solving skills with neuropsychological tests such as TOVA, Stroop Test, and Wisconsin Card Sorting Test.

• Autism Assessment Scales: Screening for autism spectrum disorder with gold-standard scales including ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule), ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview), M-CHAT, and CARS.

• Behavioral and Emotional Scales: Creating behavioral and emotional profiles with CBCL (Child Behavior Checklist), Conners parent and teacher forms.

• Academic Achievement Tests: Screening for specific learning disabilities by evaluating reading, writing, and math skills with standardized tests.

Assessment process:

1. Initial interview: Taking a detailed developmental history from parents
2. Clinical observation: Observing the child's behaviors in the clinical setting
3. Test administration: Applying tests appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
4. Report preparation: A comprehensive assessment report integrating all findings
5. Feedback: Informing the family and sharing recommendations

An individualized treatment and education plan is developed based on the findings from the assessment. When necessary, referrals are made to additional support services such as special education, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.
