Newsletter Privacy Notice
Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK”), this Privacy Notice has been prepared to inform you about the processing of the personal data obtained during your newsletter subscription.
1. Data Controller
Your personal data is processed by Doç. Dr. Mehtap Eroğlu as the data controller.
2. Personal Data Processed
Within the scope of the newsletter subscription, only your email address is processed.
3. Purpose of Processing
Your email address is processed for the purposes of:
- informing you about new blog posts and newsletter content,
- managing your newsletter subscription,
- fulfilling your unsubscribe requests.
Your email address is not used for purposes other than those stated within the scope of the newsletter subscription.
4. Legal Basis
Your email address is processed based on your explicit consent given under Article 5(1) of the KVKK, for the purpose of sending informational emails within the newsletter. Our obligation to inform is fulfilled independently of your explicit consent.
5. Transfer of Your Personal Data
Where service providers are used to carry out and technically manage newsletter deliveries, your email address may be transferred to such providers only to the extent necessary and in accordance with applicable legislation. If any transfer abroad takes place, it will be carried out in accordance with the KVKK provisions on cross-border transfer of personal data.
6. Retention Period
Your email address is processed as long as your newsletter subscription continues. If you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, your email address is removed from the active newsletter list. Retention obligations arising from legislation are reserved.
7. Your Rights
You may exercise your rights regarding your personal data under Article 11 of the KVKK. You may submit your requests via our contact form or through the data controller’s contact channels. Your requests will be evaluated within the procedures and periods set out in the KVKK and relevant legislation.
